Had this device for about a year and a half. The display hinge has gradually started failing, with first the glue separating between the display plastic surround, and here in the last few days the hinge beginning to wrench itself off. No physical damage to the device, average daily usage of a couple hours. Any options here? Assuming the device is out of warranty, unfortunate a $1k laptop would break after such a short period of time.
Have used HP devices for decades - they've always been well made. Surprised to see the lower quality plastic and thin metal construction here failing so early...previous device lasted a decade and still has no issues.

Hi,
I have the same issue with my laptop. My warranty is over, but this is clearly a defect since so many other people have had it. I had the same issue as described in this post, https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-Pavillion-Gaming-PC-Hinge-broke-af...
How do I get in touch?
