Same for me here. The keyboard doesn’t even show up. As I wrote above, though no no one responded.

I understand it’s still a buggy beta version and we need to be patient....?

I want to re-report my problem because in the latest version it has not been solved yet.
When I use the ambient effect, there is a high CPU consumption caused by LightStudio-background using even more than 10%, and this also causes a drop of about 20 fps in games, I have had confirmation by changing effect or closing light studio .
Now I would like to understand if this is a case that only happens to me, or if you are really aware of this problem, because using the ambient effect with a high CPU consumption is not nice, in addition to energy consumption it also causes a decrease in performance.
Please @Waley let me know some news.

@Niko87Let me explain more here, about system resource occupation improvement.

the version 0.1.5.0 which published months ago, it is for the memory consumption improvement, the 0.1.8.0 is for the CPU consumption improvement for per-key RGB keyboard. For current 4-zone RGB keyboard configuration CPU consumption improvement, it is still under working and optimization.

Thanks.

Dear @Waley, could you also reply to my posts please? Is the 0.1.8.0 still with a known bug, not to recognize a compatible keyboard at all? My enxxx should have 4 zone keyboard.

@-pianotoad-Hi, good day,

No recognize device issue. If you are using supported RGB devices, it should be shown in the OMEN Light Studio.

You can check this article to confirm if your device is not in the supported scope.

the easy way is to check if there is "Lighting" option in OMEN Gaming Hub.

Yes, first post says

  • OMEN 15-enxxxxx (4-zone RGB keyboard configuration)

I have an OMEN 15-en0271ng, purchased in Feb. It does not show up in Light Studio.

HP Recommended

@-pianotoad-can you upload a photo what your keyboard lighting looks like?

HP Recommended

Yes sure, see below. It is simply empty. I have the latest 0.1.8.0.

Hi, Cortesce,

I read your comment and I have the exact same problem with my light studio app but I didn't understand what you done to fix the problem.

Could you be more specific or maybe add screenshots of what we need to do to fix this problem?????? I think it would be very useful.

Thanks
