Is it correctly understood that the firmware version 4.5 will be released very soon and will include the AOSP firmware update? Our x50 is fully up-to-date by there's no AOSP firmware available.
From Microsoft documentation is said to be released in May, but maybe there's a delay?

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

Thank you for a quick response.
I see Microsoft has updated their website, now x50 is scheduled release in June (it was May earlier) so I guess I'll just have to wait...

You don't have to wait for Microsoft. 4.5.0 is already available in Poly Lens. After it's installed, you can optionally enable AOSP authentication in the settings. I upgraded and AOSP enabled all my devices without issue. Works great!

I have had mixed results. Depending on my method. Poly lens update is 4.5.1. I ran that, then updated Teams in the MS Tenant....then enabled AOSP in Poly and it worked great. Like yours.
2nd method was to update from the MS Tenant.....which has Firmware 4.5. Along with Teams update i scheduled for evening and next morning all 3 devices had problems. Two where resolved with a hard restart. powering off on......the other needed to be factory reset before it finally came back. Issues included not pairing "can not find device" even though it was paired (in polylens) and not signing in and signing itself out. Another issue it had was.....when connected, signed in and paired, if you clicked "Meet Now" on the TC8 the meeting started for about 2 seconds then closed.
My advice. Update firmware in Polylens......not through MS Tenant which still only has version 4.5 in its update portal.

Good tip. I prefer Poly Lens as well. There are two layers of pairing. The Poly pairing and the Teams app pairing. It sounds like the underlying Poly devices were paired but the Teams app pairing was lost.
Hello @Jem41
as stated by @nlev
The Poly Studio X, G7500 or G62 local pairing is using the local network. In nearly all error scenarios the device would be paired at a PolyOS Level.
The other "pairing" is via the Internet used by the Microsoft Teams App to communicate across the internet via a PolyOS Level paired TC with a Studio X, G7500 or G62.
