I am trying to setup my new printer, which I have purchased because of its Wi-Fi printing option. I downloaded the HP Easy Start Software. When I start from beginning, printer can be found and chosen to setup. When I choose the printer, on the new page, I see the 'Join' button between the printer I choose and my wifi network. So I click the 'Join' and enter the password for my wifi network. However, after a long time I got the error 'cannot find printer on the network'. Then I tried to start again. But this time there is no printer to choose at the beginning. In short, once wifi password is entered and printer is connected to my wifi network, I cannot find it on the network to setup with my Macbook. It behaves like it is on another network. I tried to setup manually, but when I enter the IP address of the printer, again could not find it on the network. Wifi is enabled on the printer, and seems to connected to the wifi network that my computer is connected. Also when I reset the network settings on the printer, the procedure repeats. I find the printer at first, when I try to 'Join' it could not be found on the network (although it is connected to the wifi); then try second time, no printer options to choose even at the beginning. Can someone help me please? I have to print some documents today.

Hi @BasakOguz,
- Check the computer and the printer's IP address:
- Does it start with 192.168.2.XXX or 10.0.2.XXX?
- If the computer has a different IP address, such as 192.168.1.XXX. This would mean that the computer and printer are on different networks.
- Check the SSID (network name).
- Do you have a dual band router?
- Ensure both bands do not have the same network name. The 2.0 GHz and 5.0 GHz should have unique network names.
- Restore the network defaults on the printer.
- Run the Wireless Setup Wizard to reconnected to the network.
- Type the IP address into your internet browser to bring up the EWS.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless on the left side, then select the IPv4 tab.
- Select Manual IP.
- Enter your manual IP address of (192.168.0.232)
- Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, unless it is different.
- Enter your router's IP address which can be found on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
- Please click Manual DNS Server. For the Manual Preferred DNS Server please enter 8.8.8.8 and for the Manual Alternate DNS Server please enter 8.8.4.4.
- Click Apply.
- Reboot the router, printer and computer.
- Test printing.
- Connect wirelessly to the printer without a router
- What were the results?
- Close all applications.
- On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
- Double-click Disk Utility.
- Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
- Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
- Restart the computer.
- Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.
- Click Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset Printing System.
- Click OK to confirm the reset.
- Type the correct Name and Password.
- Click OK to reset the printing system.
- Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name).
- Then click on the Add button. Do not add the AirPrint Driver.

Thank you for answer! So, since it seems to me a bit confusing, I would like to proceed step by step asking to you, if that is OK for you too.
- Check the computer and the printer's IP address:
- Does it start with 192.168.2.XXX or 10.0.2.XXX? (They both start with 192.168.1.XXX)
- If the computer has a different IP address, such as 192.168.1.XXX. This would mean that the computer and printer are on different networks.
- Check the SSID (network name). (I assume network name is the name I see in the list of available Wi-Fi networks. Both my computer and the printer are connected to the same network with that name.)
- Do you have a dual band router? (I am not sure if I do, but I never configured more than one network (name, password etc.), when telecommunication company came and set my network. So I guess I don't.)
- Ensure both bands do not have the same network name. The 2.0 GHz and 5.0 GHz should have unique network names.
- Restore the network defaults on the printer. (As I tried to explain on my question, actually I did this several times. Each time I did it, I can see the printer in the HP Easy Start at first. Once I click 'Join' the network selected, and entered the password for it -once the printer is connected to wifi- it dissapears. Afterwards, I always get the error 'Cannot find printer on the network'.)
- Run the Wireless Setup Wizard to reconnected to the network. (After reset, if I connect the printer to wifi through the HP Easy Start, printer is found at first before connecting to wifi, then dissapears. I can't find it, even if I start the HP Easy Start printer setup process from the beginning. If I use the Wireless setup wizard on the printer, and connect to the wifi by entering the wifi password on the panel of the printer, then I never see the printer on the HP Easy Start, even at the beginning.)Do not hide the SSID (network name). (I don't know how to do this, or even what you mean by this :))What encryption type are you using? HP recommends WPA and WPA2. (It is WPA)If the issue persists, you might be experiencing an IP address conflict. It is a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address, outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers DHCP default range is 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232. (I don't know the range of my router.)To assign the static IP address, use these steps as a guideline.Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer's front panel menu.Note the printer's IPV4 IP address.
- Type the IP address into your internet browser to bring up the EWS. (However, when I type the IPv4 IP address of the printer -found on the printed Network Configuration Page and also in the printer's network settings- Safari cannot open the page.If you're still unable to access the printer's EWS. Try Wi-Fi Direct: (Now, good news I can do this :). But I have loose my internet connection to do this, which is a bit restrictive.)
- Connect wirelessly to the printer without a router
- What were the results?
So I would like to ask you now, do you see any problem so far? Or in other words, can you identify the cause of my problem?
Thanks!
- Type the IP address into your internet browser to bring up the EWS. (However, when I type the IPv4 IP address of the printer -found on the printed Network Configuration Page and also in the printer's network settings- Safari cannot open the page.

Hi @BasakOguz,
- Make sure the printer is connected to your network using the wireless setup wizard.
- Use the guide above.
- Try printing.
- What were the results?

I can use the Wi-Fi Direct, meaning I am able to print using that option. I push cmd+F, choose the printer under 'Nearby Printers', then print successfully. (When computer is not connected to the printer's direct wifi, there is nothing under 'Nearby Printers' also there is no option as 'Nearby Printers'.
So, before contacting router manufacturer, I tried to perform the steps you suggested on my Mac.
- Close all applications. ✓
- On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities. ✓
- Double-click Disk Utility. ✓
- Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left. ✓
- Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions. (There is not any button says 'Verify', even right click gives the option 'Show in finder' which again does not give the 'Verify' option.)

HI @BasakOguz.
Drakster is away for the Easter holidays. Thought I'd step in to lend a hand. The two of you have gone trough a lot of trouble shooting. One thing popped up when I read through the thread.
When connected via Wireless Direct you can see the printer but when you are on the local network you can't.
When you are on the local network and type the printers IP address into Safari and can't pull up the Printers Embedded Web Server (EWS) then there is a good possibility of a network issue.
I have had this issue resolved a lot by this really simple and almost silly step.
Turn off the printer and the computer.
Unplug the power cord to the router for about a minute.
Plug the power cord back into the router.
Turn on the printer and the computer.
It may take a coupe of minutes for the network to refers/rebuild. When the blue wireless like stops blinking on the printer, it is a good indication that the network is up and running.
Double check the printers IP address. (this is given to the printer by the router. Sometimes the router will assign a different IP address to the printer.)
Type the printers current IP address into Safari and try to access the EWS.
If you can reach the EWS try to install the printer. If you can't let me and/or Drakster know.

Hi! Thanks for your lending a hand 🙂
Unfortunately, the solution you suggested did not work out. There is nothing changed. But, an additional info may help another thing to pop up. When I connect to the printer from my ipad via the AIO app, I see that the printer's IP address is different than the one I see in the Network Configuration page I get from the printer. So I tried to reach the EWS through Safari with that IP, but I still cannot. However, if I connect to the DIRECT wifi of the printer, I am able to reach the EWS using that IP found on my iPad (Tried the actual IP seen on the printer, did not work). Should I adjust/change/update something on that EWS page in order to solve this problem?
PS: The operations in the part written in Italic, performed on the computer not on the iPad.

If you can reach the printers EWS via wireless direct, something on the routers network is blocking the devices.
If you are familiar with adjusting the settings in your router, here are the settings.

HI,
I've tried all of the above methods and still have not been able to configure my printer with my Mac or iPad. I have HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4535 All in one printer.
Please let me know if there is any other method that I could use.
