I'm have a
HP ENVY Photo 6234 All‑in‑One Printer with instant ink.
When printing from my laptop using windows,. I generally get a message saying printer is offline is is quite temperamental. I have to press the power button to wake the printer up.
When printing from my android phone, say an image, it often only prints have or part of the image, but this still counts towards a print on my instant ink.

@Tim-Scarboro, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand the print quality is not satisfactory and the printer loses wireless connection. Let us try these steps:
- Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the PC
- Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
Clean the ink cartridges twice as mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues
Print a quality page and check the result.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for the reply.
I have assigned a different SSID for the 2.4 & 5ghz networks. We have quite a small house over 2 floors. Should I connect all devices to the 2.4 or 5ghz networks?
Do all devices printing to the Envy need to be on the same network? i.e. the 2.4ghz or the 5.0ghz? Or can a device on the 5 print to the printer on the 2.4?

All the devices used to print should be on the same network. Either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. You cannot print if the devices are on different network bands. This printer supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies.
