Hello!

I've bought a HP 9010 Printer a couple of months ago and all was fine and rosy. I really liked the Instant Ink solutions but above all the Security Monitoring and Print Anywhere options. I've even used Print Anywhere a month ago where I needed some things printed by the time I got home.

 

Today I wanted to do the same but I found that if I am on a different network than the printer is hooked up to, I get "Unavailable" for the printer's status. That was weird. I wanted to check what happened but when I got home and had my phone on the same network, after I tapped on the printer, there was no longer a "Print Anywhere" option neither Security Monitoring.

 

I haven't changed anything in the setup of my phone, laptop or printer so I don't know what's up. On the HP Smart website, my printer shows as enabled for Print Anywhere and for the Security Monitoring but in effect those solutions don't work for me. Any help would be appreciated.

 

What I tried so far but didn't work:

- Uninstall and reinstall HP Smart app (both on phone and laptop)

- Change the Wifi connection on the printer

- Restart and reinitalise the printer

Hallo, ich habe das gleiche problem mit Print Anywhere. Zuhause im WLAN Netz alles ok und wenn ich unterwegs bin im Mobilfunknetz dann geht es nicht, Hab gerade mit einem Supporter von HP 1std. telefoniert und per fernzugriff hat er es versucht aber ohne Erfolg. Laut HP ist es momentan nicht möglich von unterwegs zu drucken, es kann zwar mal kurz funktionieren aber es gibt abbrüche !!  Es soll ein Update für HP Smart kommen und für die Drucker ! Ich habe auch ein HP9010 mit HP+ beste Grüsse aus Deutschland.

Same here - advertised when I bought this printer a few months ago and now Print Anywhere has been disabled by HP. Does this count as advertising fraud?

I have the same printer (9010) and same problem here. Print anywhere was the main reason I bought it. I've called the local HP product support hotline in Hong Kong,

the technician said the 9010 never have print anywhere function, printer and the phone have to be on a same network to print..

?? but last week I've just printed like 10 pages successfully with HP Smart app and HP print service plugin on my phone when I was at 30km+ away from home where my 9010 located. 

Called again, and the other technician told me that the eprint (email printing) is still available, but print anywhere service is no longer available and it maybe back soon as a paid service.

Please tell me it is not true.
