I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you for your assistance. I was planning on calling today noe that the support service is open should I call or wait to be contacted?

I have had the same issue, only with screws coming off both sides of the back. But it did start on the left side. I took it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy to repair since that's where I bought the computer. The guy said he only had only one screw that would fit. I paid $35 for the 'service' that wasn't even a complete fix. The "pros" at Best Buy don't even keep screws for the computers they sell.

It's broken again, a few months later. Replacing the screw isn't a fix. Something bigger is happening to push the screws out.

This was not a cheap computer, and it's less than 2 years old. I am debating on whether to try to get it fixed again or, after reading pages of e-mails on this, or to trash the computer and write in every computer forum I find that HP created a faulty product, stole money from thousands, and never once attempted a recall, or to provide their distributors with screws and instructions how to fix.

I've lost faith in Consumer Reports which gave this computer a good grade, in Best Buy for not keeping supplies for computers it sells, in the Geek Squad for lazy service, but most of all in HP, which is selling a product they have been repeatedly made aware is faulty, but has never issued a recall. I will not ever buy anything HP ever again. Cheap crap sold at a premium computer price.

Hello @wchpeters, Please refer to my post with pictures on page 3 of this listing to understand why screws alone will not fix this.

Well at least a few people are getting "the attention of an appropriate team." Still though, this whole thing is ridiculous and HP seriously needs to rethink some things...

All they're doing is having me create an inquiry . I have a feeling Its a dead end. I don't know why they didn't recall the product. I know I don't buy products with bad reviews .
