HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello there

My problem transitioned into another so I guess this should be another topic
I'm looking to upgrade the memory in my HP 15-ef2126wm laptop and want to ensure compatibility before purchasing the memory sticks.
I've been experiencing frequent blue screen issues in Windows as detailed in:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Random-BSOD-Crashes-on-HP-15-e...

and I've found that one of my memory sticks is the culprit

I've come across discussions in other threads like:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/RAM-Upgrade-what-is-the-latenc...

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/RAM-compatibility/td-p/8911951

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/i-have-15-ec1025AX-with-existing-8gb-ddr4-ram-3200m...

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/I-want-to-upgrade-Upgrade-ram-...

where users have mentioned potential issues related to memory ranks (1RX8, 2RX8, or 1RX16) from supposedly compatible Crucial memory sticks.

My question is specifically regarding the HP 15-ef2126wm model: Does this particular laptop model have any known compatibility issues or limitations regarding different memory ranks (1RX8, 2RX8 or 1RX16)?

I am considering purchasing 2 of the Crucial 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 SODIMM with code number CT8G4SFRA32A (not from US so I shouldn't  put an Amazon link). I would like to confirm if this specific module, or its potential rank configuration, is guaranteed to be fully compatible with my machine

Hi Garp_senchau

Thanks for the reply, but I need to know if the model of my laptop could have compatibility problems (related to the ranks of RAM sticks) like the ones mentioned in the 4 threads I've linked if I install 2 of the Crucial memory sticks with code CT8G4SFRA32A.

Specifically due to the thread https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/RAM-compatibility/td-p/8911951

where that part code is mentioned

Just in case anyone find this thread wondering the same thing. It was resolved here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Random-BSOD-Crashes-on-HP-15-e...
