I am having issues with this laptop , the hinge is coming apart. The hinge where the power adaptor connects is loose and there is seperation visible. I have read this is a huge issue with these laptops . Hopefully someone can help, I use this laptop for my business. I spent a lot of money on this laptop for this to be happening. Unfortunately this unit is no longer under warranty. Please reach out to me I am open to any suggestions since this seems to be a defect.  Thanks

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

This definitely has been a problem.  I had mine fixed by HP 3 years ago but they just broke again.   If you are comfortable digging into your laptop watch the following video.  It will show you one way to repair the hinge.  I tried it yesterday on mine and it works (at least for now).  Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyaZ-7rUFmQ

You are watching highlights of a laptop hinge repair I performed on my wife's HP Envy laptop. The previous video I made on this laptop which shows disassembly and reassembly in greater detail is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_yeBp1pDaI&t=2s My Amazon Store: ...

I have the same issue. The hinge on the right side has broken and now the top is separating along the bottom right edge.
