Omen 15-ce0xx. Produckt No.: 1VA44EA#BCM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys, I just want you to know, that probably this type of batteries have some issues.

I bought the notebook in 03/2018 and all these years I used it only on cable. I let the system manage the battery, but that was probably the bad idea. After finding that, this battery is swollen, i found out, that you can change the battery settings in bios, and this can be probably prevented.

So now I have to buy new battery at my expense... Im lucky, that I found out it before it could cause more damage.

Honestly, my experience is nothing but problems with these HP Omen laptops. Its amazing how its one issue after another after paying over $2200CAD originally for this laptop..

In the beginning the battery would only charge to 85% max, I tried re-installing battery drivers and updating BIOS but nothing worked. A year later and now the battery no longer charges at all. I have been using it plugged in for the past few months over this quarantine. The laptop shuts down right away if the charger is disconnected

I have had an DELL XPS13 for 5 years and it still works as perfectly as the day I bought it. The craftsmanship is astounding and that laptop has never given me any issues with it hinges, keyboard or any of its interior components to this date

I believe this is a refurbished laptop or another manufacture defect as I see other people with the exact same problem where their battery no longer holds a charge or the battery is bloated which makes it evident there is some sort of problem with these batteries. I expected a laptop that costs over $2000 to have no issues of this nature and come equipped with a high quality battery.
