my hp pavilion g6 model:hstnn-i94c wont turn on. when on batterry power no responce when on charger just a white led light next to the charging port. pleas help!!

Hi ykranc,

 

Sorry to hear about the issue getting the computer to turn on. It is going to be hard to troubleshoot if the computer won't on but let's see what we can do. Are the Num or Caps Lock keys flashing? If so, how many times does it flash? Do you have another charger that you can try? What operating system are you running?

there is no flashing light exept for the light in the charging port. i dint have another hp charger and the computer is runninf windows 7

Hi ykranc,

 

Without the computer turning on it does limit the troubleshooting that you can do. It could be the battery or possibly the AC adapter. If there had been flashing lights that might have given us a direction to go in. If you are able to borrow an AC adapter you can see if it would work.

 

If you have had the laptop for less then a year then you are covered under warranty and you should give HP Total Care a call at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or visit the link below if you are outside North America.

If you are out of warranty you are going to want to have a local tech take a look and they will have tools to test the hardware components.

BTW, why did teh problem occurred in teh first place? What are we supposed to do to prevent the issue from occurring again

I am not gettin any light on at all. Won't charge or power on. I have tried my partners charger which he uses so that works fine. But still nothing from my laptop. Any idea if help please. I have had it about 18 months so out of warranty.
