What I could recommended
- update windows and more important graphic card(s) software
- try to force the laptop to using dedicated graphics card only.
- there is some "tricks" in the windows to switching off unnecessary things (graphics card settings,windows fast boot off etc)
I've heard some recommendations in other forums, if you disable something with "fan settings" (don't remember now) in bios would help.

Windows, BIOS and Nvidia drivers are up to date.
The issue is there if the laptop is charging or not.
Everything that makes the fans run faster helps, because the problem only occurs when the fan is running on lowest speed. Setting the fan to always on when connected to AC or disabling power saving for example leads to faster fans and the issue is gone. However, this can't be the solution to this problem.
Now that there are more people with this problem I am quite sure, that the problem is in the fan control firmware and not in the hardware. I already mentioned a similar problem with the G3 in this thread, which was solved by a BIOS update. Would be great if anyone from HP can confirm that this update changed the fan control and trigger a similar fix for the G10.
It's really sad that HP does not help to resolve this really annoying issue. Did anyone else contact the service? Did they understand your problem? Did they help?

Hi Madmoos.
Fan profiles are stored in the BIOS, so only a BIOS version with a different fan profile coded in will help. Previously, it was possible to use third party tools and "take control" of the fan registers. However, Alder Lake laptops (and higher) and also windows 11 systems -we have found- will not let these programs correctly access the registers. HP Support always gives the generic advice to update everything as a "cure-all". Unfortunately, you've guessed correctly that this will do nothing for this issue.
I actually had G2 business notebooks with almost the exact same problem (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Archive-Read-Only/HP-Probook-650-G2-Fan-is-constantly-rampin...). The third party tool helped -finally a BIOS upgrade/fix was issued: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05324029 . This is the most recent case (before yours of course) that was also fixed with a BIOS update: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/HP-G9-Firefly-LOUD-FAN-almost-always-running/td-p/8... This thread is many pages long....but I think you will find it very useful.

I also have this problem, Please roll out a BIOS update, this is unacceptable for a laptop at this price range. Also I'm not sure about that this is isn't a hardware design issue, I mean that annoying high-pitched noise would be still there at lower RPMs even if it's not oscillating. Anyway, looking forward to a BIOS upgrade, but for now I really can't recommend this laptop.

It might be a good idea to check the new BIOS version out to see if anything's changed. It's unclear if it addresses the FAN PROFILE "issue", although it does mention that it "Provides distinct error messages for Fan 1 and Fan 2 to streamline troubleshooting and help to address any fan-related concerns more effectively."

I also have this problem. CPU at just 40 degrees but CPU fan running at 5000rpm. Doesn't make any sense. Being able to manually set a fan curve based on CPU temps would instantly solve everyone's problem. Hopefully a coming BIOS update will include this.
