Your machine uses eMMC HDD

   https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-14-an000-notebook-pc-series/10862293/model/11992110/document...

therefore everything is in ONE piece, parts are soldered together including CPU, RAM ... therefore you can't upgrade RAM.

Regards.

As stated in the other thread, page 38 of the document at: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05227925

gives a step-by-step procedure for removing the RAM.

It is not soldered into place.

Please read the manual carefully, your machine uses eMMC HDD. The manual is for hundreds of different models/product and the specs of your machine clearly says it uses eMMC HDD. Well, you can always try.

Hello everyone I opened it up i definitely have the eMMC HDD and I can say for sure everything is NOT SOLDERED IN PLACE. Two slots for Ram that are user swappable I have order 2x 8gb ram will report back if to let everyone know if the motherboard sees both and lets me enable dual channel mode or if it's locked to single

Also I have added an SSD in addition to the eMMC 4 days in no issues to report

Last update I put two 8gbs ram in for a total of 16gb which the lap top acknowledges. Only issue can't modify bios to run in dual channel mode so instead will just leave a single 8gb module installed
