Ummmmm....it's not humanly possible to "take the back off" my hp pavilion 🙂 I removed all the tiny screws and tried to pry it off but it's not budging....HELP!! This is my emergency backup since my Macbook pro charger was damaged and new one won't arrive for another few days. I need a computer for my job-

My laptop is the same model, and when I press the power button the light next to the charger blinks 3 times. This is the only response I get. Any help will be greatly valued!

Hello @Creeperdude1047,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums, I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

I read your post about the  notebook not starting, and wanted to assist you!  I understand that when you press the power button, the light next to the charger blinks 3 times.

To start, can you provide me with the Product Number and Operating System of the notebook?  You can use the links below to help you with that information:

Which Windows operating system am I running?

Usually, when the LED light for the charger is blinking, it indicates that the battery is not sufficiently charged to power the notebook.  Are you currently trying to start the notebook on battery power, or are you using the AC Adapter?  Have you tried removing the battery, and powering the notebook, using just the AC Adapter?  Looking forward to your reply.

I am having this problem and the fans are going and the caps lock is flashing, but nothing is happening. Any ideas?

I have the same problem as many, many others before this post.  It appears that this problem has been going on for at least 2 years and I have yet to find a solution other than a suggestion to take it to the repair shop.  There must be something that can be done.  I have a Pavilion 15 ab223c1.  The prod number is n5r49ua#aba.  It all started when I let the battery run down while the top ws open.  I can get no response at all by hitting the power button..  I have tried taking the battery out, hard starting, etc. The little white light next to the power input is solid.  It goes off when I unplug it.  Holding the power button for minutes does nothing.  Does anyone have a solution? Other than going to the nebulous HP solutions web site that fixes nothing?   Please help!

Thank you thank you thank you. My laptop just blacked out and wouldn't turn on while I was on a long weekend away with no other computer around. When I came home, I tried the hard reset (which I never knew about) and it worked.
