That depsnds on whether that particular USB Type-C supports charging or not, in order to obtain that information, I'll need to know which device you've got:

@Wallis_Wizard Thanks for the details,
I looked up the information and you were right:
- 2x USB Type-C™ 3.1 Gen 2 (Thunderbolt™ 3, DP 1.2, PD 3.0, Data transfer, HP Sleep and Charge );
- 1x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A™ (HP Sleep and Charge)
The ports with thunderbolt would support Type-C to Type-C charging, however the other port will not, that said, please check all the ports to check if they are working as they should, if they aren't, please update the BIOS and Chipset drivers using the HP Support Assistant or the HP website,
