USB C (and charging port) not working

Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, one of the usb c ports on my notebook isn’t working. It doesn’t let me charge through that port either. How can this be solved?

That depsnds on whether that particular USB Type-C supports charging or not, in order to obtain that information, I'll need to know which device you've got:

USB C (and charging port) not working

Hi, here are the details you asked for. I was told that both ports support charging and the broken port did used to charge it.

@Wallis_Wizard Thanks for the details,

I looked up the information and you were right:

  • 2x USB Type-C™ 3.1 Gen 2 (Thunderbolt™ 3, DP 1.2, PD 3.0, Data transfer, HP Sleep and Charge );
  • 1x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A™ (HP Sleep and Charge)

The ports with thunderbolt would support Type-C to Type-C charging, however the other port will not, that said, please check all the ports to check if they are working as they should, if they aren't, please update the BIOS and Chipset drivers using the HP Support Assistant or the HP website,

And let us know how that pans out.
