Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A2AV)

Hello HP Support Team,

I own an HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0031dx (Product: 68U87UA), which has completely failed (no power, no lights) immediately after the warranty expired.

As a long-time HP customer since 2011, this is extremely disappointing. I was simply doing my regular software development work when the laptop froze, went black, and then never powered on again. No charging light, no power button response – it is now as good as a brick.

A certified repair expert has confirmed that the motherboard has failed. After further research, I discovered numerous other users of the same model (Victus 15-fa0031dx) reporting identical motherboard failures. This strongly indicates a widespread defect in this product line.

Frankly, this raises serious concerns:

  • HP is a global brand known for rigorous product testing before market release.
  • Yet, a premium laptop is failing right after warranty expiry, not due to misuse or damage, but due to a design/manufacturing flaw.
  • Customers should not be left helpless in such cases—it damages trust in the HP name.

I therefore kindly but firmly request an escalation for a Warranty Exception / Goodwill Repair (Quality Out-of-Warranty Exception) for this case. HP should take responsibility for what is clearly not an isolated issue.

I have all proofs available (purchase invoice, repair shop diagnosis, and links to other customers facing the same issue). Please guide me on how to escalate this case to the regional HP team in Pakistan for approval.

As someone who has trusted HP products for over a decade, I truly hope HP will stand by its reputation and value its customers by providing a fair resolution.

Thank you,
Waqas Ar
