So, would you guys say that a safe bet would be this:

If it has 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board like the link I posted, it might work.

Just wanted to let you all know that the G-Skill Ram worked on my HP DV6-2147el. I've added an extra 4GB module and will add another, now that I know it works.
