Unfortunately I have been using the product for about two years and I have had nothing but problems with it. It is not a plug and play device. I reinstalled windows 8. Some how it started working again don't have a clue as why. I am making sure nothing can be changed on my computer settings. I have to get some work done. As the answer to your solution It did not work for me.

Thanks ...This worked for me too. Before I saw this solution I spoke to the HP Support person. He had no idea what I was talking about. He was asking me to pay $49 and 14.99 recurring fee per month for him to get me to one of the technician. I explained the whole issue but be kept saying that I have to pay for a somebody to look at the problem.
Thanks.

I`ve had the same problem as well. The solution mentioned here kinda worked, picturewise that is. Although I can't get any sound to my TV. I have the same problem when i connect it through HDMI cable but then i can use the Playto function which solves the problem, Any ideas?

Thank you Ramvoo, et. al. Your solution worked flawlessly. Followed step-by-step, completely unplugged my HP Wireless TV Connect, and reconnected without restrarting my new Windows 8.1 laptop. Don't understand why it works, but I don't care ... it works!
I spent over an hour on HP service calls last night being bounced around the world from every corner of India back to the USA level 3 tech support. L3 support's solution was to start charging me lots of money to listen to me complain. Maybe you have employment opportunity at HP. They need to add this to their lengthy setup manual.
Thank you again!

Oh Great. I spent $99 to upgrade from Win 8.0 to 8.1 Pro and now find out this gizmo won't work.
I even have the latest NVIDIA driver for my GT635M.
So, I grabbed my old ASUS Android TF101 Tablet and stuck the Transmitter in it. Luckily the TF101 has both
an HDMI and a USB port.
BINGO. Now watching a video from CBS.COM. Hooray.
Thanks so much for your post. I had been googling around for hours and could not the story anywhere else.

HEY! Got it to work with Win 8.1 Pro.
I went to the ASUS support site and downloaded the Intel driver for my ASUS N56VJ notebook.
Driver Version: 15.33.4.64.3308.02
I had also previpously installed the latest NVIDIA driver for my GT635M but that alone had not solved the problem.
But the INTELdriver did!

Gazooks - fix worked. Just a note, after disabling driver, remove wireless then connect and walla all is fine.
Dombarty, glad your lazy like me as was not going back to win 8 but don't think will ever upgrade Windows again. MS just can't seem to get it right.
