hi
i wanted to add my monitor with this adapter above (N9K77AA#AC3 but as soon i put on that adapter i get
errormessages.
The display connection may be restricted
DisplayPort / MHL connection may not work. Try another cable.
Is this pavilion not supporting that adapter? - are there new drivers for this usb-c port?

Why is it that you are not using the HDMI output port?
The USB 3.1 Type-C ports on your notebook are compatible with the HP USB-C to HDMI Display adapter. HP product number P7Z55AA.

Perhaps with two of the HP USB-C to HDMI Display adapters.

Since there is only one USB type-C port and the HDMI port, I suggest using the HP adapter cited in the earlier post and an HDMI connector.
It is unfortunate, but there is no universal standard for the USB 3.1 Type-C that would make all brands of adapters compatible. That is the case for all notebook manufacturers.
Another option is the HP USB-C dock with product number Y0K80AA.
