Hi,

Could you check below solution.

Uninstall your current driver for Texas Card Reader.

Now install Texas Instruments Media Card Reader Driver sp38607 ver 2.0.0.8 A

Note:

If there will not be any option for standard uninstalation then download installation file of your current driver and run it.

You should see the proposals to uninstall the driver.

Hi Daniel, I did this & It didn't work.  I solved the issue by doing a systems restore & this fixed it.

Hello. I am new to the HP support website and am not sure how to use the site's forum, and I found this forum from Google to get help on an SD Card.

I recently installed an SD Micro San Disk card but the notebook laptop isn't reading the card. Am I doing anything wrong? And I'm not sure if I have the drivers installed on the laptop.

Hello Reggisity,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. I see that you are having a problem with the card reader on your HP computer. I would like to help with this issue but I need some information.

Can you provide the model and product number of the computer? Here is a link that shows how to find that information.

Hello, my Product name is HP Pavilion g6 Series...

That is not the information I need that appears to be the Windows product key sticker you are reading from. You can get the information to populate on your screen if you go to the desktop screen and press the "FN" and "ESC" keys at the same time. The link here gives examples of the numbers and other ways to find it.

Hello, I have found what the problem might be, but I do not understand the step I need to take.

Here is the advice:

Make sure the card reader specifically supports the SDXC format.  You can access the SDXC card by using an SDXC compatible USB reader or adapter.  Look for an SDXC logo on the device or check with the device manufacturer for information.

I'm not sure how to determine if the SAN Disk Card Supports the HP notepad. And where can I find the SDXC format in the device manager? I'm sorry if I'm causing you too much trouble.

No problem,

Can you let me know the type of card you have? Be specific as possible and I will check and see if the computer can support the card.
