Poly Lens Desktop v2.1.0 (Windows only) is available for download


NOTE: The Poly Lens Desktop 2.1.0 release is only for Windows 10/11 PC/Notebooks only.
Mac PCs are supported using Poly Lens Desktop 2.0.0

  • Poly Lens Desktop 2.0 for Mac supports Mac M1 Series Silicon or later. Intel based CPUs are no longer supported with Lens Desktop for Mac.

Migration from Poly Lens Desktop 1.x to 2.x Details

Installation of Poly Lens Desktop 2.0

When Poly Lens Desktop 2.0 installs, a new service will be installed called Lens Control Service which requires User Admin Rights. See below details on the folder paths where files are stored:

  • Installation Files
    • C:\Windows\Program Files\Poly
  • Configuration Files & Logs
    • %appdata%\Poly
  • %localappdata%\Poly
    • C:\ProgramData\Poly

Lens Desktop 1.x was previously installed at: %localappdata%\oz-client

Introduction

Important:

  • To ensure seamless Avaya call control in the Lens Desktop, it is necessary to uninstall any existing version of Plantronics Hub.

Poly Lens Desktop 2.1 includes the following.

  • UC Integration: Added support for Avaya Workplace (3.36) and Avaya One-X Agent (2.5.16) Softphones (Windows only)

  • New Device Support - Video: Poly Studio V52, Poly Studio V72

  • New Device Support - Audio: Poly Voyager Legend 50, Poly Voyager Legend 30, Poly Voyager Free 20 with Bluetooth® direct and HP differentiated pairing support and Poly Voyager Office Base

Resolved Issues

This release includes the following bug fixes.

  • Fixed an issue regarding Cisco Jabber crashing after installing Poly Lens Desktop 2.0 (Windows)

  • Fixed an issue regarding Poly Savi 8410Language update

  • Fixed an issue regardingdisabling the “Manage All” parent setting not automatically disabling its child settings

  • Fixed an issue regarding Bluetooth radio being turned Off/On during the installation/upgrade of Poly Lens Desktop App on non-HP PCs

  • Fixed an issue where installation of Poly Lens Desktop 2.0 blocked the Bluetooth functionality on ARM based PC systems

  • Policy enhancements for Device Software update and Poly Lens Desktop Version

  • Fixed an issue regarding Poly Studio R30 certificate installation

  • Fixed an issue regarding Settings Policy for Poly Voyager Office Base

Known Issues

This release has the following known issues:

  • Poly Voyager Free 60 and Voyager Surround 80 when connected to the system via native Bluetooth, incorrectly display settings under the ‘Wireless’ category

  • Performing Factory reset on Poly Voyager Free 60 and Voyager Surround 85 does not revert the following settings to their default value - Mute Reminder mode, Wearing Sensor value, Auto-Answer value, Auto Pause Music value

  • User is unable to Hold or End Microsoft Teams call when using Poly Savi 7320, Poly Blackwire 5210 or Blackwire 8225

  • Poly Studio P15 may incorrectly display "People framing" option for the Tracking mode setting

  • Device Software update button may remain enabled during an active Teams call

  • Incorrect success message displayed when installing certificate with invalid private key

I have tried installing or update this software through WinGet, but the download is getting denied.
Is that intentional?

Same issue here.

Direct download if the installer worked, installer runs:

but then nothing further happens and the installed version isn't updated.

2.1.0 installation is broken,  does not install via .MSI file. Nothing happens. Poly went downhill after HP acquisition. What kid of lame QA is this???

Why not release a standard .exe? PLT hub was solid and reliable. 

 

If you uninstall previous version, like I did, your lens is gone for good.

What is the aim of your post? You did not even provide any details on the operation system used. Is this Windows 10 or 11? No details of the version either. How should a volunteer try and help.

point of the post was to convey that HP pushed out a corrupt MSI file that is NOT working for anyone.  this has broken the lens app

 

Who can let Poly team know this? Others are complaining as well

 

OS does not matter, tried this on both Win10/11 machines.

You can either contact HP Poly support if you have any official hardware or please use the Lens Mopinion Bug https://lens.poly.com/appfeedback

 

Please try in the future to use professional language as this is not some hobbyist forum.

 

The community would be full of posts if the software would not work so maybe an issue on your end for Support to work with you on.
