952xl vs 956xl

Should a 956xl work in an Office Jeet Pro 8710? On the side of the 956xl box it lists 8710 but when I load it says it's the wrong cartridge. Thank you for your help.

Hey there,

The HP 956XL cartridge is supported by the 8720, 8730 or 8740 models for this series, not on 8710:

If you see any other information on the packaging, could you please include a picture of it to better understand what is going on?

I'm having the same problem.  The box clearly states it is compatible with the 8710 and previous cartriges did work. All of a sudden they are showing "incompatible"
