HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer

Pretty much summed up in title.  So frustrated I did something I never do.  I created an account just to post on this site.

One day my HP Envy 4520 Printer stopped printing in color.  It didnt matter which application and it didnt matter how many times I uninstalled the software, re-installed with a different 4520 package, rebooted, used the diagnostic tool or followed the advice of the HP experts.  I even went so far as to purchase additional Print cartridges based on the recommendations.  Spent roughly $100 on two different sets thinking it might have to do with the notorious non-branded HP print cartridge issue.  Additionally i've spent countless hours researching and making changes on my computer which i'll never get back.  What finally fixed it was this post:

Thank goodness i came across that post.  This explained it perfectly, except for a different model.  I spent hours tracking down why i couldnt find the color options in the "Printer Preferences" and went down that rabbit hole with all its recommendations.  At this point I'm happy to be printing in color again.  I was getting pretty frustrated and irritated in having to go to a FedEx Office facility and paying to have my color documents printed when I should have had a color functioning printer at home.

With all that said....Im done with HP.  This is second HP printer I've purchased recently that has given me problems to the point where im taking my business elsewhere.  I've lost faith in this brand.  It has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with these printers and its software.  Rant over...good luck folks who are as frustrated as I am.
