Hi,
I have a HP Photosmart 7520 series. I am having a weird problem with my black ink. When I insert a new black cartridge, the screen on the printer shows that it is empty even though it is a full cartridge. I purchased 2 new black cartridges and it still does that. Meanwhile, all the other cartridges work fine. It does not provide me with any errors and recognizes that the cartridge is there. The computer software even sees the black cartridge as full as in the photo below. But when I try to print in black, nothing prints because the black cartridge does not seem to be working. I have tried cleaning the print heads, and taking the cartridges out, turning it off and on again after 10 minutes, and cleaning the metal on the cartridges. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

You have 2 options to replace the printhead or to replace the printer.

Depending on the price for a new printhead and availability you might get a faster solution with a new printer.
