My HP Smart Tank 7005 printer does not print cyan anymore. All other colors print fine. The cyan ink tank is almost full. I have followed all the steps described here.
Thereby I have the following issues:
- When I try cleaning the printhead with the HP Smart App, it prints the diagnostic page, then a window appears telling me that the cleaning is ongoing, and this window remains forever with a blue turning wheel. It never completes.
- I wanted to try replacing the printhead, but I can't get the carriage moving to the center, so I can't replace it.
The printer is only 1.4 years old and not very much used.
Any suggestion what can be done?

I managed to solve the problem as follows:
- switch the printer off while printing, so that the printhead carriage is not in its resting place.
- replace the printhead.
This caused a paper jam, which I could easily fix, though. And the printer now prints again fine in all colors.
The printer software should definitely allow the user to exchange the printhead even if the printer itself for some unknown reason believes that the printhead is still working fine.
