Hi Team,
My Challenge is when i use HP Smart app to print documents or photos in an A4 sheet, i am not able to select "Color Mode" to Color , it is selecting Mono chrome or Grayscale only, even though i select Color it got changed to mono Chrome by itself,

Print Quality Diagnostic seems to be fine , Color is not printing at all, only today i started to face the issue

all other answers to this problem relate to going on to a desktop or laptop to uninstall. I don’t have this luxury from my phone. Can anyone help. I can’t be the only one

It's frustrating when you encounter printing issues, especially when you're limited to using a mobile app. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with the HP Smart app printing only in greyscale.

 

Printer Settings:

  • Check your printer's physical settings. Ensure that the color ink or toner cartridges are not empty or low on ink.
  • Some printers have a setting to force black-and-white printing. Check your printer's manual or settings on the printer itself to make sure it's not set to print in monochrome.

HP Smart App Settings:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your phone.
  • Select the document or photo you want to print.
  • Look for any settings related to color or grayscale. It's often found under advanced or quality settings.
  • Make sure the color option is selected.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app from your phone.
  • Reinstall the app from the official app store (Google Play Store for Android or App Store for iOS).
  • After reinstalling, set up your printer again and try printing in color.

Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause printing issues.

Check for App Updates:

  • Make sure that your HP Smart app is up to date. Check for updates on the app store and install any available updates.

Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your phone and printer are connected to the same network.
  • Try restarting both your phone and the printer.

Print from Another App:

  • If possible, try printing from a different app that supports your printer. This can help determine if the issue is specific to the HP Smart app.
