I want to see the HP Instant Ink status on the printer display. There seems to be a page for this (behind the letter/ink symbol) but this page only shows the URL to Instant Ink, which is not active (cannot click on it).
Is there a way to show the Instant Ink page usage status? As the printer is logged in to Instant Ink anyhow this should be low hanging feature.

The printer is not aware of the Instant Ink subscription nor is the printer onboard software smart enough to open the link to the website and provide the data you seek. The Printer can report its own cumulative life-time printer usage statistics - this is not what you want, of course.
The Instant Ink Page Usage information is supposed to be available to you when you log into your Instant Ink Account .

@Dragon-Fur
Thank you for the answer. I don't agree with the printer is not aware or not able to do that. I think it is a feature gap which is a shame for HP.
The printer knows about the Instant Ink subscription (visible at Webservices page) and reports the printed pages just-in-time to the HP servers. Using the same connection it could retrieve the two number (pages printed, pages available) and show this on some screen ot it's 4" color screen. Same for the embedded web server. I cannot see how this can be above the computing power of the printer.

You are welcome.
Sure - Understood.
It is true I cannot verify printer's ability to read the Instant Ink account page usage information.
I've never subscribed to Instant Ink - the answer is based on the information I can find on the subject.
Withdrawing in good grace.
Good Luck.
