I am using HP Branded 902XL cartridges in my HP Office Jet 6958 Printer. I get an error message saying I am using an older generation cartridge. I just bought the cartridge, are you telling me that Amazon is selling old product? How can I get this to work?

So the problem happened when I replaced the black cartridge. I only print in black and the color cartridges that I had in the printer had a 2020 date on them. They were the cartridges that were too old. Once I relpaced the color cartridges everything worked fine.

Thank you for response. Don't yet see the private message requesting additional information. Have spent WAY too many hours researching and trying things. Please let me know if there is a fix - soon - I need a printer.
