Exactly ....SHAME ON YOU HP! Next time I buy a printer, I will not buy HP. And, I have been purchasing their printers for 15 years or more.

Can u plz guide step wise process to downgrade firmware for hp officejet 8610.  I am connecting printer via printer cable.  Printer screen is stuck in older generation cartridge mode.  Have tried everything. Hard reset. Taking off cartridges, taking of printer head etc.  But every time I turn on printer it is stuck with the Der generation cartridge warning .  Can't go back. Home button doesn't work...  very frustrating.  Can u plz help

This requires paying for WinZip?  If the WinZip is paid for, downloaded, does it actually resolve the "older generation cartridge" issue??

I overroad my virus protection as I have mine attached to an older desktop that doesn't really matter if it gets infected.  I ran the update (downgrade) 2 times and it failed both times.
