I have an HP instant ink subscription, which I have decided to cancel. My colour cartridge has barely been used and my black ink cartridge is at 30%. I rang HP to ask what happens to the remaining ink and they could not give me any information; in other words it is wasted. This seems environmentally a huge problem and the advisor just kept telling me that the ink cartridges were free, so they had to be returned. I would rather pay for the remaining ink than have the ink wasted. Does any one have any knowledge about this, or how to make a complaint regarding. Thanks

Hello @RubyR77 ,
welcome to the HP community.
From the https://instantink.hpconnected.com/uk/en/terms:
-
Consequences of Cancellation. You agree that HP will not be liable to You for any cancellation of Your Service or refusal of access to the Service or Site. Upon cancellation of Your Service for any reason, any rights granted to You under this Agreement will terminate and You must immediately cease all use of the Service and return the Subscription Cartridges to HP as detailed in Section 5.e. ‘Subscription Cartridges Must be Returned by You to HP‘.
Best Regards
Steffen Baier

I completely understand the terms of the contract, it just feels very wrong that HP is not dealing with the environmental impact of their service. Surely it would be better for them and the environment to calculate a payment to the customer for the remainder of the ink, not that i am expecting you to have a response to that!
