@sundancerg, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer being stuck at validating!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like the printer is stuck in a loop during the initialization or reset process. Here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try:
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the circle stops.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Sometimes, a paper jam can cause the printer to stay in a loop. Make sure there’s no paper stuck in the printer.
Remove and Reinstall Cartridges:
- Remove the ink cartridges, wait a few moments, and then reinsert them to see if that helps with the issue.
Update Firmware:
- If the printer can connect to the network, try checking if there’s a firmware update available. This can sometimes resolve such issues.
Try a Hard Reset:
- Some models allow a deeper reset. If you’ve already tried the basic resets, you can refer to the printer's manual for a factory reset option that’s more thorough.
Let me know if any of these help!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
