It's very simple to figure this out, printers got an OTA firmware update with glitches that resulted in "resend upgrade" error. The only way to fix it is by upgrading the firmware to a unofficial, incomplete or leaked leaked October release that fixed the "resend upgrade" error but left upper output rollers dead, even if you downgrade firmware to April 2020 the rollers became non responsive at all. The major issue is that HP tech support have no idea of this community support issues and have no clue of the firmware nightmare. It is not a hardware issue with upper rollers, its a controller from firmware that have glitches. HP it's not accepting this error for obvious legal repercussions.

I have the same printer model just like many here with the same problem created by glitched OTA firmware update, since you're giving a solution to that model, why not sharing the solution to the public? Is this some type of ransom keeping non warranty holders having to pay a price?

I am very ignorant when it comes to technical issues like this.  I used the info provided and it fixed the resend problem, but now my roller is not working.  My printer just shows paper jam when it happens.  I removed the paper jam and it immediately tries to print again and gets a paper jam.  I finally removed the jam and before closing it all back up, canceled all documents in que and unplugged and restarted.

I tried redownloading the fix and it is still doing the same thing.  Where do I find a previous firmware version to try that?

Thanks so much for trying to help, since HP doesn't seem to want to!

I'm not sure I understand this statement: "since you're giving a solution to that model, why not sharing the solution to the public?"

The only solution provided resolves the Resend Upgrade issue, but for some (not all) users, also results in a roller issue.

There is no currently known solution to the roller problem, though not all users are seeing that issue. For example, the problem I had after applying the Oct firmware update was that my printer reset to manual duplex. Fortunately I was able to fix that with a change in the printer properties (on Windows).

Hi - I am having same problem.  Can you send me information on how the problem can be fixed.  I really need my printer back for work.  Thanks

Can I get the fix as well please.

But HP should be able to make the needed corrections to the printer's firmware and make that widely available!
