I've installed the Android "HP Smart" app on my Chromebook.
 
Scanning using the "HP Smart" app requires me to sign into "HP Smart", For that it launches a browser (Chrome). After signing in the app shows a spinner and "Thanks for your patience..." - and a spinner which spins indefinitely. The app hangs. The issue is 100% reproducible on multiple devices.
 
I have captured debug logs. Please forward them to the software engineers. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

Unfortunately my printers don't support "Webscan", so I have to scan from my Android phone.

 

It would be really, really helpful if the "HP Smart" app could be fixed to work reliably on Chromebooks. All functions except logging in seem to work fine.

 

Also, logging in should NOT be required to scan a document.
