I'm trying to reconnect my HP Envy 6055 printer. I had to do a factory reboot, so now I am trying to go thru the HP Smart printer setup. It starts off fine, but then gets to "Sending network information..." and gets stuck in a loop. The "I" button blinks and the "x" button is red. But nothing happens and it won't get past this step to finish connecting to wi-fi.
It finds the printer, and configures the printer, but that's it. The purple light stays on, and eventually the "i" and "x" turn off.
Also, it disconnects my laptop (which I am using to connect to the printer) from my wifi and creates a "HP=Setup<98_ENVY 6000" network
I need help! This printer worked fine 2 days ago and then it wouldn't go online. Now I'm stuck. HELP!

I had the same problem. Ended up uninstalling hp smart from my laptop, installing the hp smart app on my cellphone, connected my phone to my wifi & was able to setup my printer from my phone. Then installed hp smart on my laptop & it connected right away.

Thank you so much! The app on the pc is garbage and the hp website/support is also bad - gives you the runaround and you don’t get anything solved! I have installed the app on my phone and was able to restore my printer in a minute!

Thank you Stefni76, had the same problem and your response solved the problem, but now, I can't print from the cell phone, keeps giving me a "print spooler, printer error: online return center message..ugg, guess I can uninstall it and try again for the cell, but at least now, I can print from my PC
thanks!
