Example: Pavilion 6530 Deskjet F4172
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I only see a picture with blue text with the letters Fi.

This means that I cannot use the scanner as usual.

I reinstalled the current

 driver: "DJ_AIO_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140_404-4"

I use Windows 10  /64.

Do you have any suggestions for what I can do?

I have found a thread: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Knowledge-Base/HP-Solution-Center-not-working-Adobe-Flash-Pla... discussing solutions for us with older scanners/printers.
Here are 2 programs that can scan.
a. HP Scan Extended
b. HP Scan and Capture
To me, a doesn't seem like everything gets ghosted when I scan.
On the other hand, b works fine.
It's not quite as comprehensive as the Solution Center. Apparently there's no ocr. And you can't adjust gray font to black.
But i'm sure it'll work out.

Flash has been permanently disabled as of 12-Jan-2021.

This causes the "startup" menu of the Solution Center to fail when you try to open the software.

There are options, both recommended and others that are "not supported" but do work according to those who have used them.

A collection of the recommended options are included in this Post, including a link to the TKB article:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/HP-Photosmart-4480-All-in-One-Printer-s...

If you do not like the recommended options, do not want to use these, or wish to see more,

Search the Community for "Solution Center" - sort the results by Date - open / read those threads that are of interest to you.

Notes

The only actual solution is to replace the printer.

Newer printers (since 2015) do NOT use Flash to start the printer software.

I would like to use the scanner directly and therefore refer to solutions:

Solution 1.

"1. Start scanning using HP Scan executable

You may be able to simply start HP Scan/Scan using the program executable.

For example:

The old Solution Center Scan software is located in "Digital Imaging"

C:Programs (x86)HPDigital Imagingbin

Or

C:Program FilesHPDigital Imagingbin

Locate and double-click File Name / Executable: hpiscnapp.exe"

Problem:

hpiscnapp.exe NOT available on my computer -win10 even if I scan for it.

a. Is hpiscnapp.exe something else today?

b. That hpiscnapp.exe is not there means that I can not use other programs to scan with as suggested later in the guide.
