Hello @JTB11 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Where (country) was the printer purchased?
Did you buy this cartridge?
I'm waiting for your feedback.
Kind Regards

I lived in Asia for a while and bought the printer there(Brunei).
I am now back and living in the Netherlands.
Here the supplier tells me the M181FW printer requires the 205A toner.
This I have bought but it does not work.
Are you telling me that the same product number from different regions uses different toner numbers?

Printer Partnumber = T6B71A
You bought the printer in: Asia. So the old cartridge = HP 202A or HP 204A.
I hope you still have the old cartridge!
The printer must be switched to Europe because the region has changed. Then it will fit again and the new HP 205A cartridge will be recognized in the printer.
I will inform the moderators.
Kind Regards

Yes, I still have the old cartridge.
Please let me know what I need to do to change my printer to Europe.
Another problem might be that my colour cartridges are 204A and they are not yet empty.
How do we deal with that?

This must be clarified with the HP employee who carries out regionalization.
At the moment the printer is still working without any problems.
