HP ENVY Photo 7858
Other

I've owned an HP ENVY Photo 7858 for a short time and it was working great until my MAC updated to Big Sur OS 11.1. Now the printer doesn't work, either wirelessly or connected by cable. When I send a print job, a blank piece of paper spits out (I was able to successfully print out a Printer Status Report, though.). The HP website shows they don't have an updated driver for my printer. I also checked the 123.hp.com website and they have nothing. Anyone heard when a new driver will be ready?? What do I do in the meantime?

I've made sure my printer is set up with MAC's air print option.

???

Hi,

the HP Site clearly list a driver for Catalina for your printer:

Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.

Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:

I have OS 11.1 Big Sur, as I said in my original message. What does Catalina have to do with it?

Sorry for the error, meant to say Big Sur of course.

I have looked at the HP site and 123.hp.com and they both show no drivers for OS 11.1, Big Sur. They don't even show my OS, don't recognize it. This is why I've asked what to do now.

I really don't want to take my OS backwards just so my printer will work.

Any other ideas? Am I missing something??
