Hi, after the Big Sur 11.5.1 update took place, I can't get proper print as letters come out grey squares only. Please see the pic. I had reset printing system for each printer and restart the computer, no change. I've checked the printer driver updates but they are current. Printers are HP PageWide MFP P57750 and HP PageWide Pro 477dw MFP. Please advice as I can't work like this.

Hi,
Do you use the printers with AirPrint or an HP driver?
When clicking the plus sign under Printers & Scanners, do you see AirPrint, Secure AirPrint or your HP printer model within the Use drop-down menu?
May you see any difference when selecting any other option within the Use drop-down menu? what options are available there for you when adding a printer?

Thanks for clarifying @Mbrand01.
Please let me know the current firmware version of the printer to get some better understanding of any possible cause.
From the Setup menu look for Reports and then Configuration Page or Printer Status Report.
within the information section, what is the current Firmware Version or Firmware Datecode listed for your printer?

Thanks for the information @Mbrand01.
For the Mac, let's try using an HP driver instead and let me know if you can see any difference then:
Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.
Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip
As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference, may you able to print successfully now?
For the iPad, may you able to print using HP Smart instead of AirPrint, by selecting Print Documents or Photos within the app, may you successfully print then?
