Hello,
I tried to downgrade the firmware for my M181 printer and I cannot do it.
I saw on another post that there is possible to do a NVRAM reset.
Can someone tell me how to do it?
Also, is the factory reset a solution (does it downgrade the printer firmware)?

Hi @DumitruH,
I'd like to help!
I understand you would like to perform an NVRAM reset on the printer to downgrade the firmware.
The factory will reset the printer settings back to the default settings and printer memory will be cleared.
We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

HelloJay,
Thank you for the reply.
I will add this also here, maybe would be useful for other users in my situation (hope this reply won't reopen the thread).
In the installation window, I had the fax selected as the one receiving the old firmware, not the printer.
After opening the "Select printer to update" dropdown, I noticed the "fax" text at the end of the name (both the printer and fax have the same name; I saw that the default option selected has a"fax" at the end which was not visible when the dropdown was closed with the item selected; maybe this was caused by my screen resolution).
After selecting the printer from that dropdown, I successfully send the firmware to the printer and manage to downgrade it.
Thank you and have a nice day,
DumitruH
