Regarding a HP Inkjet printer series 2700 (2752). I have received several error messages: 1) drivers need to be reinstalled, 2) spool device not working/available, 3) XML page not available; must be fixed. I am not tech savvy enough to know how to find any of these fixes, especially the XML page, without specific how-to information. I keep going round and round in circles here at HP. It is, of course, out of warranty. It was a very inexpensive model so I'm not paying for the out-of-warranty tech support. If someone can tell me if this is fixable, and provide detailed instructions, I'd appreciate that. I've tried finding the driver update info, but when I clicked on that, I was routed to something else. I've signed into this website but that didn't seem to clarify any instructions either. I've reloaded the Help app, but nothing came of that. If this is another throw-away product, then just say so.....I'll just chuck it and go find another printer.

@meandpepe, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I see that you are not able to print. Let us try these steps:
Print a Network Configuration Page to make sure that the printer is on the same network as the computer.
On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button and the Information button
at the same time.
Both a Network Configuration Page and a Wireless Network Test Report print.
Obtain the IP address from the page.Install the printer using the TCP/IP port:
Check for any pending Windows updates first.
- On the PC, go to Control panel > Devices and printers > Remove the existing printer entry > click on Add a printer(at the top)
- Under 'Choose a device or printer', click on 'The printer I want isn't listed'.
- Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address'
- Type in the 'IP address in Hostname or IP address' box, click next
- Proceed to the next steps by following the on-screen instructions.
- Try printing.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your instructions. I completed everyone through #5. It seems there are more than 1 network named "SSID". I looked on the report that had printed and see that my network is listed twice. There are 2 different BSSID #s with only 1 digit difference. The channels are 48 and 1. are the same. The signal numbers are -30 and -34. The WPS is "Yes" to both of the listings. I don't have any idea what all this means, or how to fix it. The suggestion was made in the instructions to change the network name to something else to separate it from the other networks. I have no idea where to to that, or how. I hope I'm using the correct terms here, but my wifi connection to the local cable company is listed twice. This is probably why all of a sudden, the printer has trouble staying connected? So, if you have any further suggestions, I am greatful....thank you.

@meandpepe
If you have a dual-band router, you will have 2 SSIDs.
- Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
- If you do not know how to do this, check with your internet service provider.
On the report, did you find the IP address of the printer? If yes, add the printer using this address as mentioned in my previous post.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Thank you for the additional information. I understand what has to be done, and I did find the IP address, I will contact the wifi provider....a local cable company. I'll give this another shot; I really need to have this printer working by the end of next week, or I have to purchase another one....thank you, again...JG

First, where do I find out GHz listing for this router? or is this something I have to get from the provider?
Secondly, the Wireless Network Test results have answers that I don't know what they mean. a) Wireless Diagnostics results says Wireless On....PASS. Wireless Working.....PASS. Under Connectivity: Connected....PASS. Under Network: Network Name (SSID Found....Pass. Settings: Printer Settings Consistent with Wireless Router Settings....PASS. What does PASS mean?
Third, There are now 4 SSID designations with my provider's designated "name". The other day, there was only 2. The BSSID #s are all different. 3 are on one channel with a 5GHz value. The 4th listing is a different channel, different signal.
I'll be calling my provider on Monday, March 28. I can't do anything more today being Sunday. Thanks for staying with me on this. JG

@meandpepe
For any queries related to the network, you will have to contact the internet service provider. Check if you have a dual-band router.
If yes, check if the 2.4 and 5GHz bands have different names. If not, give them different names.
In the test report, Pass means the specific test has passed.
Did you not find the IP address of the printer on the reports that were printed?
Connect the printer to a 2.4GHz network. Print a test report and find the IP address of the printer in that report.
Once you have the IP address, install it as mentioned in my previous post.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

I contacted the wifi provider and spent over an hour with him this morning. Now that I am re-reading your message, I believe I had him set up the wrong band-width with a different name. I do have the dual-band router. He set up a separate name for the 5G account. We followed all the instructions choosing and resetting the printer. Here is a re-cap of what was done: 1) I did have the IP address, we used it twice to find the printer. 2) It is connected to the router 5G band, and when we tried to change it to the 2.4GHz band, we couldn't find any way to that. 3) Following the instructions on the product info at HP with a 2nd tech from the provider, the printer was finally found but it wouldn't take the wifi password so we are at a dead end AGAIN! I tried to print a pdf file but when the document is at the printer, I can either "save" it or "cancel". I do not have the choice to "print". Is there anyway to be connected remotely to my laptop so that you can see exactly what problems I'm having? I don't know what else to do except go buy a new printer, but if this is HP software problems, I might just have the same problems with the new printer. I have a deadline to get this working or I'll have to make some other seriously inconvenient plans in order to print out tickets for a bus trip coming up; I need to get these tickets by Wednesday, this week. Thank you...JG
