I just got this printer out of storage, haven't used it in about 5 years.  It's still in perfect condition.  After setting it back up, the Scan To Computer function has been disabled, and I don't have the old HP Utility or Scanning Driver.  The new HP Smart driver doesn't have an option for enabling the Scan To Computer function.  Does anyone know a work around to get this function enabled again.  Or is it possible to get a copy of the old HP Scan driver that will work with my operating system (Mac OS 12.0 Monterey?  I greatly appreciate any help with this!

Hi @willyoff,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you are unable to scan from the printer.

Please install the HP Full-featured driver to enable the Scan to computer Option.

Once the download is completed, follow the onscreen instructions to finish the setup.

Enable Scan to computer

  • Open the HP Printer Assistant. From the Start menu, click All Apps, click HP, and then select the printer name
  • Go to the Scan section.
  • Select Manage Scan to Computer.
  • Click Enable.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi, thanks for your help, but this didn't resolve my issue.  The link for "full featured driver" that you referenced only sent me to a page with the option of downloading "hp smart".   HP Smart doesn't have the options of enabling Scan to Computer if I'm not mistaken.  Do you know another way to get the Full Feature Driver?  It doesn't seem it's available on HP's website anymore.  Am I missing something?
