This is the only printer we are having issues with at nearly every monthly Window updates. When trying to print, It defaults to 8-1/2x11 paper size even though it is a wide format 11x17 installed. Click on "Properties" and nothing happens. The printer shows up twice in Scan Doctor, once "installed" and another "Not Installed". Only way to fix is to completely remove the printer and re-install. This is getting really ridiculous having to do this every month at a time when I'm trying to print out douments needed.

Try uninstalling the printer from root level and download the full feature software
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions
Keep me posted how it goes

Thanks, the printui steps is something new and may have caused a new issue.
Here are the steps this morning, and aside from the printui the steps every month:
Removed printer, printui showed 2 occurrencesof 7110 and one for the old 7000 printer. those were all removed.
Restarted, downloaded and installed software, it couldn't locate so I had to add destination 192...
Software continued all the steps, but it still wasn't installed.
Started "Print and Scan Doctor 5.3" and it shows there as not installed. Clicked install.
Several minutes of "Installing..." then "Downloading...", then software install starts again and this time it is installed.
Now my next monthly step is to go into the settings to change the default paper to "Tabloid", however this time it is not showing up in the device manager, the App, and when actually trying to print.
Go to Browser 192... and it shows the Tabloid but when printing it prints a letter size on the tabloid paper.

This might require remote access of the computer to fix the issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
I hope that helps.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

To make a certain paper size as default, go into devices and printers, right click on your Printer, go to printing preferences and change the paper size there.
