I just set up the printer and unwisely updated the firmware.  Now the printer is unusable as both attention and ready lights are blinking.  I saw this exact question answered in 2019 here:  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/M15w-blinking-attention-and-power-lights/td-p/698622...

Please let me know what to do next.

Thank you.

Welcome to the HP support community.

Follow these steps to fix the issue.

This condition occurs when the printer is in a fatal error state.

Step 1: Reset the printer

Reset the printer to clear the printer error.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

Step 2: Plug the printer directly into an electrical outlet

Plug the printer directly into an electrical outlet to make sure the power source functions correctly.

  1. Unplug the power cord from any surge protector, extension cable, or power strip.

  2. Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet.

  3. Turn on the printer.

Thank you for offering a suggestion.  I tried this several times without any effect.  The printer appears to be bricked.
