Hi @kim4859

This could happen when there is a paper jam inside printer and needs to clean.

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The "Printer Attention Required" error on your HP ENVY 5660 can be frustrating, but here are some steps to help resolve it:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions:

  • Open the printer and inspect for any paper jams or debris. Even small pieces of paper can trigger this error.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a factory reset by navigating to the printer's settings menu. Look for "Restore Factory Defaults" or a similar option.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Clean the cartridge contacts with a lint-free cloth if needed.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your computer's "Devices and Printers" settings.
  • Reinstall it using the latest drivers from the HP website.
