Product: HL-2170W
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to re-set wifi on HL-2170W. Upgraded to Google mesh, so WPS is not an option. Don't have the cd, so downloaded the full driver and software package from the support page. Reset the machine by powering on with go button down and then pressing go button seven times. However, when I get to the part of the setup software where it tries to detect the printer using either a usb connection between computer and printer or a cat5 connection between router and printer, neither method will detect the printer. I tried turning of the computer firewall but that did not help.

For any assistant with a Brother HL-2170W  printer, I suggest consulting your printer manufacturer, which are familiar with their products...

OMG, what an idiot I am. BTW, I do have an HP printer/scanner/fax, but it is not the unit giving me fits, so I'm not sure why I posted my Brother issues on the HP forum.
