Hello HP Employee,
I believe I also need to perform a reset on my HP Officejet Pro 9010 for a similar reason. The screen displays the following error:
Connection Problem
The printer cannot print until it is connected to the Internet. Reconnect your printer to the Internet with either a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection to enable printing.
I have: rebooted the printer, turned off the wifi connection and turned it back on, re-ran the wifi connection wizard to reconnect to the network, toggled the 5Ghz setting (now back on), and attempted to use a static IP address vs. automatic. I have also attempted to plug in the computer to the printer via a usb to print. None of this has worked.
The blue antenna indicator light for wifi is actually on, and the wifi settings report shows that I do have a connection with a valid IP address. For whatever reason, though, this "Connection Problem" persists, and I cannot print.
Please advise. Thank you.

The Wi-Fi light is completely off which I’ve read means that the Wi-Fi radio isn’t on. When I try to turn it on there’s no option for the wireless set up wizard. It continuously says I need an ethernet cord to go into change the Wi-Fi. But when I put the cord in then there’s no option for Wi-Fi that shows up on my display. When I go into Network set up, I get a message that says I have to connect an ethernet cable. But when I do the wireless option disappear. What can I do to turn my Wi-Fi radio back on so that I can use the Wi-Fi on my printer and print remotely? It was working fine then after the storm it stopped.

Cant connect to the wifi on my Office Jet Pro 9010 - on the printout is says you cannot use the device's wireless function because it has been disabled. The wifi feature seems to have disappeared from the touch screed display and keeps asking to connect with a cable. Is it possible to email me the instructions to fix this issue?

@Tom123Tom,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an error message "Use Ethernet cable" on your HP Officejet 9010 printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
We have to perform a SemiFull reset and the reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
