Noticed Flashing Error Code on printer display 0XB87C648E.   I unplugged the printer, waiting a minute and plugged back in which appears to have resolved the error code but I'm just curious what the error was.    I don't see anything from googling specific to that error code.   Any HP tech lurking here ... please point me to the error code lookup for this.    Just curious what this was.

Hi @WarningU2,

The error may have caused by cartridge not supplying enough ink to the printhead.

I hope this answers your query.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi @WarningU2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are getting 0XB87C648E error on your HP OfficeJet 8015e All-In-One Printer.

Please follow the steps listed below to reset the printer.
1. Turn the printer on if it is not already on.
2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
8. Turn on the printer if it does not automatically turn on.

Thanks for your reply.  I was able to recover the printer immediately by powering off.  The point of my post to the community here, was to inquire what the hex error code meant.  What caused it to be generated in other words?
