I have an used printer that I got from my neighbour and I saw that I had an issue with the region setting as the ink I bought was not being recognized because of the region I am. I found the solution witch I have to get a code to reset the region. However, by the time I received the code it did not work and the support agent told me to change the serial number as both of us saw that the serial number I have on the label of the back of the printer is different from the one HP Smart shows. I can't change that and the support agent said he could not help me with that.. anyone knows how to change it? or how to fix this issue? I have the code and apparently the code given is for the serial number that I provided from the back of the printer. Thanks!

Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
