How long does printer 3830 stay in sleep mode if you do nothing?  Next question, how long do you unplug from power to get it off sleep mode?  Thanks

Welcome to HP support community.

 

After initial setup of printer, the printer will enter Sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Refer page no.16 in this user guide for more assistance on printer sleep mode:- Click here
